I've been thinking a lot about Little Miss Thisorthat and how much she loves the park! It doesn't even matter what kind of park it is or how long we stay, she is thrilled to go. She loves the slides and the swings, playing with balls and running through the grass. She loves it all! I've missed seeing her beautiful face light up when she realizes the park is in her near future. I'm planning to take her to the park next week and I can't tell you how excited I am. I'm sure it's much more excited than she would be if I told her. If I haven't said it before, being a grandparent is the greatest thing and it's all because of those adorably wonderful little people we call grand kids. Do you have someone special in your life like I do??? Tell me.......

This started when I was sitting on the couch at my sister-in-law's house, and I noticed right beside me was this pillow that had all these different boxes and patterns on them. So what else was I to do but draw it - right??? I'm constantly amazed at how ideas for patterns just pop up and make themselves known, especially in everyday things when you're not looking for them. I'm not a huge New Year's Resolution person (mainly because I never keep them) but maybe I'll make an exception this year and try to pay more attention to the little things around me that could turn into new tangle patterns. Do you have any new tangles you've been working on???? I would love to know about them!

I always love starting off the new year. Besides having to remember to change the year on my checks (which I will do wrong for the next three months), it always feels like the new year has something wonderful and exciting just waiting to show itself. Of course it's never anything that I think it might be, but none the less that's what makes things interesting. The other day in the mail I received the most fabulous surprise ever! It was a book that just had pictures of Little Miss Thisorthat - from the cover to the last page. We had her pictures done a couple of months ago and my very good friend had this treasure made for me. I will hold it dear to my heart forever!!! Those are the kinds of wonderful little surprises that you just can't plan for. Who knows what will come next. For now I'll tangle and stay devoted to what I love! What kinds of things are you looking forward to in this new year????

I appreciate you following my Blog and I'm honored that you find my work worth taking the time out of your busy schedule to read, and sometimes comment. I hope that you spend this Christmas weekend with friends and family, eating all your favorite foods, and remember the birth of Christ (which is why we celebrate right?). I'll be back to see you on Tuesday.

I found some blank blue note cards the other day and since I had just bought a new white gel pen, I wanted to play a little and see if the two worked together. I'm happy to report I was pretty happy with the results. I wish the gel pen had a finer tip so the patterns wouldn't seem so big (it's only a 4X6 card) but for a first time try I was not discouraged. I know when you scan or photo anything dark the color doesn't stay with it, but I do wish you could see the dark blue - it's really pretty. I thought I would add some embellishments but decided to do it after I posted this since they won't show up anyway. Sometimes the glitter pens show up a little, but nothing like seeing it in person.
I'm sure you're super busy trying to tie things up for Christmas, or packing to get to that special place, so whatever you do or wherever you go, be safe, have a fabulous time, and be mindful of the birth of Christ. Without Him we are truly lost in this world. Merry Christmas my friends!!
